Considering the concept of the Supply chain, it involves the entire process involved in bringing a product to life and delivering it to you, the consumer. This encompasses the logistical operations, acquiring materials, manufacturing, extraction, and distribution. On the other hand, the Value chain centers around generating value for the customer. This raises questions about the actions required to educate consumers and how we can utilize their feedback to shape products they desire.
Where a tomato for instance, the farmer ponders over what crops to cultivate based on consumer preferences. With the rise in demand for organic products, this dynamic began to change, influencing consumer expectations. This shift necessitated farmers to not only grow aesthetically pleasing tomatoes but also ensure they are organically produced, reflecting a direct response to consumer behavior.
