power outages is a big one that can affect many things at our job. we have things that need to be kept at certain temps and without proper ventilation it can be very unsafe to preform our work. we have a generator but cant hook everything up to it. we can rearrange things in fridges and freezers to ensure things stay cool and many of us know what will be ok getting a little warm. we know where the flashlights are and what can be done safely without power. this means the next time power goes out due to a large storm we will all be able to respond quickly and together without bumbling around

Sharing important and digestible information and easy action steps is the best way to get more people involved. Mass movements even with many people that are half there tend to have a bigger impact than a few very devoted individuals. we have to be a crowd to produce change. sharing information and signing petitions are easy steps that I took and will continue to take. I can't personally do everything but I can sure yell about it.

Bees like plants with lots of small flowers because that's their food source. Flowers that are single have less food for bees and are typically not their native food source. Planting lots of native flowering plants in your yard is just the start. getting more flowering plants throughout the city to create food paths for them is also important. we can do this by seed bombing and planting on boulevards.

I shared a few but the one I talked about most is getting back up and trying again when you fail or make a mistake. The speed at which you can get back up is the biggest thing that shows your resilience. Having a snack or working on something else to reset your mind

Attending community events is such a great way to strengthen the support system you have around you and meet others you may have never come across before

As part of our backyard improvements, we created a way to collect the rainwater. It has not only allowed for a better way to maintain water during the drought, the improvements have really helped the backyard look way better!
