    Work and Organizations
How did recognizing someone’s effort affect your relationship or team dynamic? How can appreciation strengthen trust and teamwork where you are?

Recognizing team members/co-workers has been a joyful feeling. Acknowledging someone's hard work and dedication supports people to continue to contribute to our sustainability efforts.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Personal
How did reflecting on your experiences, strengths, or challenges shape the way you think about your ability to adapt and grow?

Journaling has helped me to engage in meaningful conversations with fellow sustainability professionals. It also has helped me to retain information better.

  • I will be going through old clothing & toys this weekend & donating to Goodwill! Before you throw, think of what others may need.

That’s awesome, it really makes you think about how much we can give a second life instead of just throwing things away
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Work and Organizations
What did you learn from your audit, and what steps did you take to reduce waste? How can reducing waste create both environmental and organizational benefits?

I lead the Environmental Services Department at a regional hospital; we are always auditing & finding ways to better processes. We are currently focusing on reuse, instead of throwing items away, we have been trying to repurpose throughout our organization & partners.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Personal
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet? What fruits or vegetables did you try this week, and which was your favorite?

I run & lift on a daily basis. Fueling with plenty of fruits and vegetables has helped with energy levels & prevents cramping. I had bananas, oranges, grapes, berries, watermelon!

  • What are ways you are reducing water usage at home?
