Reflection QuestionClimate & Ecosystems Calculate Your Carbon ImpactWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon footprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
John Wulterkens 4/27/2023 7:41 AMTransportation (like most people) comprises most of my carbon emissions. I try to purchase UL88 / E85 fuel when possible for my car, but I'm also looking to purchase an electric car in the future. Public transit is sadly not effective enough in the Twin Cities to be a reasonable option for most of my daily tasks. -
Reflection QuestionEducation & Livelihood Work-Life BalanceHow does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?
John Wulterkens 4/19/2023 6:39 AMKeeping a good work-life balance helps me keep the mental space and energy available to focus on aspects of my day and life that I want to. It's is really easy to get bogged down with the day-to-day without a short break! -
Reflection QuestionClimate & Ecosystems Watch a Documentary About Climate Change or NatureWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentary(ies) you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
John Wulterkens 4/17/2023 7:25 AMI watched "Paris to Pittsburgh", and while the documentary is several years old (2018), the points made about the necessity of immediate changes to our climate and energy policies still holds true. It is also great to see all of the local actions that cities and states have taken to "green" their spaces.
