I am looking at perhaps purchasing a countertop dishwasher... And I would also only run that when the dishwasher is full.

Save Water When Washing Dishes
Dishwashers can save water — if used wisely. I will only run the dishwasher when it’s full and skip the pre-rinse to reduce water and energy use. If I don't have a dishwasher, I will turn off the tap as often as possible while washing dishes.

Pak-Kei Wong 4/30/2025 10:33 AMAs I look at the lovely weather today... Nice and sunny... Albeit a bit chilly, I took a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature today. This motivates me to live sustainably on a regular basis so that I can continue to have such lovely appreciation. -

Pak-Kei Wong 4/17/2025 6:03 AMAs I was waiting for the bus this morning, I realized it was a bit chilly. However, it was worth it, as I am choosing to take public transit, which is a more collective and environmental choice! The minor discomfort was worth it! :)-

REFLECTION QUESTIONLand, Water, and AirHow did changing your dishwashing habits make you more mindful of water use? What other small changes can you make to conserve water in your household?
Pak-Kei Wong 4/15/2025 6:54 AMI grew up in Asia where access to running water is not as abundant as here, so I feel like I grew up with habits that were conservationalist. For example, when I brush my teeth, I never let the water run. I always turned off the tap. Similar situation for dishes. I guess my change is that when I wash dishes with the tap, I try to not turn on the tap as strong, so the water is not as fast.
I am looking at perhaps purchasing a countertop dishwasher... And I would also only run that when the dishwasher is full.
