Community and Connection
Check In with a Friend or Colleague
Staying connected strengthens relationships and boosts well-being. Each day, I will reach out to 3 friends or colleagues to check in, have a meaningful conversation, or offer support.
Land, Water, and Air
Save Water When Washing Dishes
Dishwashers can save water — if used wisely. I will only run the dishwasher when it’s full and skip the pre-rinse to reduce water and energy use. If I don't have a dishwasher, I will turn off the tap as often as possible while washing dishes.
Health and Well-Being
Declutter and Donate
Decluttering can reduce stress and benefit others. I will declutter my home and donate items I no longer need to support others in my community.
Health and Well-Being
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 20 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Community and Connection
Keep My Community Clean
A clean community benefits everyone. Each day I am outside, I will pick up 5 pieces of litter to keep my community clean.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingHow did exercising each day impact your physical or mental well-being? What activity did you enjoy most, and why?
Holly Walker 4/09/2025 10:03 AMOn this day, I took a trial class at a local martial arts center. I was certainly nervous since it was new to me, but it was actually pretty fun. I learned a few new moves, broke a board(!), sparred a bit. One of my sparring partners was very patient while I was trying to figure out if I was moving right. The other one didn't give an inch to me as a newbie so I really know how much I have to learn! My daughter tried out the parkour class at the same time and really enjoyed it. Looks like we will have something new to keep our bodies moving. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingHow did decluttering and donating items make you feel, both emotionally and physically?

- 17-DAY STREAK
Being time for spring cleaning, I am trying to declutter and pass on items we aren't using much anymore. So far, I've been able to donate several items of clothing, coaxed my daughter into dropping off some of her outgrown books at a neighborhood Little Library, and I've donated some craft items to the public library for their craft room.-

hahaha I think one of the ways is for all your kids to grow up, move out, and stop bringing things home! -

- 17-DAY STREAK
I appreciate building connections with friends and colleagues, even if it's just a small note to check in instead of a deep conversation. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity and ConnectionHow did keeping your community more clean connect you more to your local area? Did picking up litter change your perspective on the cleanliness of your community?

- 17-DAY STREAK
Whenever I am walking back home from school with my daughter or around our neighborhood in general, we often pick up stray pieces of litter. Sometimes it's just a couple of things, but it still improves the area. We've been doing this during my kids' time in Scouts as part of the Leave No Trace principle.-

That's wonderful! Picking up litter, even small amounts, makes a big difference in keeping your neighborhood clean. It's great that you're teaching your daughter the importance of environmental stewardship through Scouts and the Leave No Trace principle.
