People most affected by environmental degradation or irresponsibility are often those in low-income communities. In many areas, including communities that are located near factories, highways, or waste facilities, exposing them to high levels of pollution and health risks like asthma, contaminated water, and poor air quality.

I can raise awareness thru social media or volunteer by joining or supporting clean up efforts or drives.

    Land, Water, and Air
What surprised you most about your water footprint, and how did it influence your perspective on water use? What changes can you make to reduce your water consumption, and how will these impact your daily routine?

What surprised me most about my water footprint was how much of it came from indirect sources, especially food and products I used daily. I always assumed water use was mostly about how long I shower or how often I water plants.

I think the changes I can make are shorten showers, turn off the tap while brushing teeth and not actively using it, we can also fix leaks and most importantly is to use water efficiently.

“You reconnect with nature in the most intimate and powerful way by becoming aware of your breathing, and learning to hold your attention there, this is a healing and deeply empowering thing to do. It brings about a shift in consciousness, from the conceptual world of thought to the inner realm of unconditioned consciousness.”

Sharing my time helps me feel more connected to others because it creates a sense of mutual understanding and purpose. When I help someone, it simply makes their day easier, it builds trust and strengthens the relationship. I’ve been a volunteer since college and really enjoyed helping others through outreach programs or being a manpower volunteer in mass blood donations. It’s really fulfilling seeing someone happy because of me.

Had my first ever major hike yesterday at Mt. Kabunian, Bakun, Benguet. This hike really tests my strength physically and mentally. Those unlimited assaults made me question my self and capabilities as a hiker if I should continue this hobby haha 😂 but still made it to reach the summit. The breathtaking and scenic views of the mountain make you come back. I am so happy for this accomplishment and still hungry and waiting for more major hike soon.
