  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Personal
What motivated you to schedule or attend your check-up, and how did it make you feel afterward that you completed this action?

This challenge motivated me to call and get up a check up from my doctor. As I am getting closer to 40, I know how important it is to see a doctor. I felt great leaving as there were only minor issues that can easily be treated/corrected.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How did exercising each day impact your physical and mental resilience? What activities helped you feel stronger, more flexible, or more capable of adapting?

Its just a great way to start the day. Its gets the blood flowing and body moving which makes the morning easier. My energy kicks in much earlier than if I was to just slide out of bed and go to work. It also allows me to not drink my first coffee until well in to my work day.

The challenge is going well. I have found it easier than I initially thought to eat more vegetables. Instead of sitting down for my lunch, I have really enjoyed taking a 30-40 minute walk to break up the day and get some exercise. Then I am able to eat my lunch and do my job at the same time. Leaving the office for a walk and fresh air certainly have a positive impact on my attitude, perspective, physical and mental health.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Personal
Before you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now? What was the most challenging part of reducing refined sugar, and how did you overcome it?

I never through I was addicted to sugar, but I knew I was consuming too much on a daily basis. I feel much better now being more aware of how much sugar is in the foods I consume. I have really enjoyed zero sugar soda.

The most challenging part of reducing sugar, was having to think twice about the cookie, or candy I was thinking of eating. Or being at a celebration and avoiding the cake and the ice cream.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
How did shortening your showers affect your awareness of water conservation? What other water-saving practices can you adopt in your daily routine?

I realized that I do a lot of standing around or thinking in the shower which is unnecessary. As that can be done outside of the shower while not using/wasting water in the process

Shortening my showers really made me more aware of how much water I was using without thinking. It helped me realize that even small daily habits can have a big impact over time, and now I’m more intentional about not wasting water.
