What is resilience?
Learn About Ecological Resilience
Resilience is part of how nature works. I will spend 15 minutes learning about ecological resilience—how ecosystems adapt to disturbances and renew themselves through cycles of growth and renewal.
Water
Understand My Water Footprint
Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.
Water
Learn About Water Justice
Access to clean water is a basic human right, yet many communities worldwide lack it. I will spend 15 minutes learning about water justice issues and who is most affected, and share one insight in the feed.
Work and Organizations
Host a Low or No-Waste Lunch or Gathering
Sharing meals builds connection and resilience. I will organize 1 low or no-waste lunches, coffee breaks, or informal gatherings with colleagues, classmates, or volunteers to build stronger relationships and reduce waste.
Work and Organizations
Join or Start a Green Team
Green teams strengthen resilience by creating shared responsibility. I will join or help start a green team in my workplace, school, or community group to support sustainability and collaboration.
Biodiversity and Wildlife
Learn to Be a Responsible Pet Owner
Being a responsible pet owner means minimizing the impact pets have on wildlife by keeping them indoors, never setting them 'free' into nature, and supervising pets when they are outside to prevent them from hunting or disturbing wild animals. This also keeps our pets safe from harm. I will spend 40 minutes learning about ways to ensure my pet’s behavior and care practices protect local wildlife and their ecosystems.
Take the Pre-Survey
Take the Pre-Event Survey
I’ll take a short pre-survey to share what motivated me to join — and earn 15 points! (If I already took the survey by email, I’ll just mark this action complete to get my points.)
