Take the Pre-Survey
Take the Pre-Event Survey
I’ll take a short pre-survey to share what motivated me to join — and earn 15 points! (If I already took the survey by email, I’ll just mark this action complete to get my points.)
Personal
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 90 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Personal
Meditate
Meditation helps build resilience and clarity. I will spend 15 minutes each day to meditate or create a moment of silence each day to reflect on things important to me.
Water
Understand My Water Footprint
Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.
What is resilience?
Explore Resilience in Nature
Resilience is all around us in the natural world. I will spend 30 minutes outdoors looking for examples of resilience—such as plants regrowing, animals adapting, or seasonal cycles—and reflect on what they teach about thriving through change.
Soil and Food
Eat Local and Seasonal Foods
Local and seasonal foods require fewer resources, support nearby farmers, and keep soils healthier through diverse planting. I will source 2 meals per week from local or seasonal producers—such as markets, CSAs, or co-ops—to strengthen community food resilience.
Personal
Go Get a Check Up
Regular health check-ups help prevent problems before they start. I will schedule or attend a medical, dental, or mental health check-up to take care of my well-being.
Water
Take Shorter Showers
Conserving water helps protect this precious resource. I will shorten my showers to 5 minutes to save water and reduce energy use - each time saving up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water!
Biodiversity and Wildlife
Choose Native Plants
Native plants provide food and shelter for local wildlife and help ecosystems adapt to change. I will choose native plants for my yard, balcony, or community space instead of non-native or ornamental species to support biodiversity resilience.
Biodiversity and Wildlife
Speak Up for Wildlife Protection
Wildlife needs support from people. I will take 3 actions, such as volunteering, signing petitions, contacting leaders, or sharing information on social media, to help protect habitats and species.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterHow did shortening your showers affect your awareness of water conservation? What other water-saving practices can you adopt in your daily routine?
Amy Toms 4/11/2026 11:50 PMA big thing for me is leaving the water running to warm up too long. Today I sat in the bathroom and held my hand under the water while it warmed up, and it was surprisingly quick! I don't know why I haven't done that in a while, my last house took forever and we used to collect the water in a bucket, but this house I have been too lax. Sometimes I like to just take some time in the shower to steam and decompress, but when I limit myself to 5-10 minutes I can still clean thoroughly. I should go back to collecting the "warm up" water from my shower and kitchen sink and use it to water plants outside, that's what we used to do when I lived in southern CA because we were in a perpetual drought. I think I really needed this reality check/ check in/ accountability to actually do the thing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalHow did improving your sleep affect your energy, focus, or mood? What role does rest play in helping you feel more balanced and capable of handling challenges?
Amy Toms 4/11/2026 11:46 PM- Pet Parent 🐾
Today was definitely a "catch up on sleep" day, it was much needed after this week. I am usually cautious to not oversleep, because it will leave me more fatigued and brain-foggy than if I had underslept, and today I woke up feeling ready to go. I have been focusing more on falling asleep earlier so that I can keep my morning routine, and it has been easier to get up out of bed and feel awake as I'm waking up if that makes sense.
