    Our first really warm spring day! I went for a walk in the park and stopped to take pics of wild violets. They give me sweet memories of my sister.

      My youngest sister, Colleen was disabled. She passed a year ago. She and my other sister, Edie and I talked about being remembered in flowers. Colleen is violets, I'll be daisies, Edie will be lilacs. A little peaceful image for us within our fond memories.

      When I was young, I walked in the woods in spring to see the wild violets. I live in a different part of the U.S. now, where there are no wild violets. Enjoy!

    I just finished painting a mural tile for Global Mural Project. My tile will be added to 2000+ in an American mural, but I have also participated in worldwide murals. I ordered a kit which includes, the canvas, paint, a small easel and brushes. A photo of the tile is sent via email and I get to keep the original tile. It's fun and I love the fact that I get to participate in connecting people worldwide. This painting will be added to America Nature's Twilight. Mural Mosaic's Global Roots Project

    Daily, I sit with a cup of tea and watch the birds that visit our deck. They enjoy sharing the seeds with one another and even share in the feeding of a begging young cowbird. We have had a few mildly disabled birds that do just fine with flying. Watching them and caring for them calms my spirit and takes me away from the stress and anxiety of the news.

    I began my ecochallenges today. It is the anniversary of my youngest sister's death. I told her that I will remember her when I see the wild violets. So, my Health or Well-being Resource is regarding taking care of even just one plant. I will care for the plants growing here inside and I will tend to the wild violets in the yard, preserving them for the first visits of the honeybees. I shared the resource of the book entitled, "Happy Plants, Happy You" by Kamili Bell Hill.

    Even just caring for one houseplant can provide a healthy focus away from stress and anxiety and help a person focus on her/his own self-care. When you are tending to and caring about and for a plant, you are tending to your mind, heart and spirit
