Keep My Community Clean

At times it may not feel like it's up to us to keep our community clean and healthy, but we all have a role to play. Each day I am outside, I will pick up any litter I see.

Since I moved to Denver at the end of 2023, I have been trying to take advantage of the beautiful outdoors as much as possible. One of my favorite things to do is just go for long walks by the river near my house. Compared to Chicago, where I used to live, there is far less trash on the ground. However, I always see some trash on every walk. I decided an easy way to help keep my community clean is to bring a garbage bag on my walks this month and pick up the trash I see. It's a very small action, but it makes me happy to know that I'm helping to keep my neighborhood just a bit tidier.

What an inspiring idea Kathryn. As I'm walking throughout my community. I do the same thing. Picking up trash is a small action but it sure do make my community a bit tidier. Nice work!
