We will also participate in "No Mow May" for the 4th year this year. We have signage for our overgrown lawn which educates passersby on why we are letting our spring lawn go wild.

Water
Learn About Water Justice
Access to clean water is a basic human right, yet many communities worldwide lack it. I will spend 18 minutes learning about water justice issues and who is most affected, and share one insight in the feed.
Personal
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 30 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Water
Save Water When Washing Dishes
Dishwashers can save water — if used wisely. I will only run the dishwasher when it’s full and skip the pre-rinse to reduce water and energy use. If I don't have a dishwasher, I will turn off the tap as often as possible while washing dishes.
What is resilience?
Notice Resilience Around Me
Resilience shows up in many places. I will look for one example of resilience in my surroundings—whether in my community, work, or daily life—and reflect on what it teaches me about adapting to change.
Soil and Food
Learn How to Save Pollinators
Bees and other pollinators are vital to ecosystems and agriculture. I will spend 5 minutes learning how to support local pollinators and take at least one action—such as planting native flowers or avoiding pesticides—to help sustain resilient ecosystems and harvests.
What is resilience?
Reflect on My Own Resilience
Resilience is personal and collective. I will reflect on a time when I adapted to change in my own life, writing down what helped me and what I learned from the experience.
Personal
Prepare for Extreme Weather
Extreme weather events like hurricanes, wildfires, and floods can disrupt lives and upend our communities. I will take proactive steps to prepare for extreme weather by safeguarding my home and creating or updating an emergency plan and kit with essential supplies, evacuation routes, and contact information.

REFLECTION QUESTIONSoil and FoodWhat did you learn about the role of pollinators in food systems? Did you take any action to support pollinators? If so, share a picture in the feed!
adrienne sullivan 4/28/2026 7:14 AMI walked with my children in Washington DC on the Pollinator walk around the Museum of Natural History. I educated my children and learned more about pollinators in a new region.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWhat is resilience? What personal strengths or supports helped you adapt to a past challenge? How might those same strengths help you in the future?
adrienne sullivan 4/28/2026 7:11 AMReframing my thinking about challenges in my community, the environment and in the workplace in order to feel less frustrated with the lack of effort on the part of others to improve this challenging world. Being kinder to myself about the things that I wanted to do but did not achieve. Meeting people where they are, with empathy, and carrying myself calmly and without judgement of others will improve my own outlook and hopefully inspire others to do the same. We need to be the example for the change in this world we want to see. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWhat is resilience? What example of resilience did you notice? How does observing resilience in your surroundings change how you think about adapting to change?
adrienne sullivan 4/28/2026 7:07 AMI read a great book that outlined the ancient philosophy of stoicism. This novel demonstrated a woman's resilience across her lifetime and her ability to shift her thinking to affect her reality.
