Advocate For Better Food Packaging

When companies and governments make large-scale changes to their products and practices, it makes sustainability more accessible to the masses, in turn creating further demand for sustainable products, and the cycle continues. I will advocate for improved, sustainable food packaging through petitions, letters, or by supporting brands that prioritize eco-friendly packaging - and share my advocacy actions on the feed.

COMPLETED

Reduce Food Waste

Wasting food also wastes water, energy, and resources. Being mindful of vehicle idling made me realize how much fuel is wasted and how it contributes to air pollution. It highlighted the importance of small actions in improving air quality and reducing fuel consumption.

Other Transportation Habits to Reduce Environmental Impact
    • Carpooling: Share rides to reduce the number of vehicles on the road.
    • Cycling/Walking: Opt for biking or walking for short distances.
    • Regular Maintenance: Keep our vehicle well-maintained for better fuel efficiency.
These habits can significantly reduce our environmental impact and promote cleaner air.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Tourism can disrupt wildlife, damage habitats, spread diseases, and exploit animals. To travel responsibly, choose ethical operators, stay in eco-friendly lodgings, engage in low-impact activities, and avoid exploitative practices. Supporting local communities and raising conservation awareness can help protect wildlife.
