Biodiversity and Wildlife
Leave the Leaves
Fallen leaves, logs, and brush provide shelter and food for wildlife. I will leave natural features in my yard or community space to help strengthen biodiversity and soil resilience.
Community
Swap and Share with Others
Swapping and sharing resources reduces waste and builds community bonds. I will participate in 3 swaps or sharing activities, like borrowing items, attending or hosting a swap meet, or giving away items I no longer need to support a sharing economy with friends, family, colleagues or neighbors.
Community
Host a Gathering
Bringing people together helps strengthen bonds. I will organize and host a gathering, such as a potluck, coffee meet up, or shared meal, for friends, family, colleagues, or neighbors to foster connection and community spirit.
Personal
Go Get a Check Up
Regular health check-ups help prevent problems before they start. I will schedule or attend a medical, dental, or mental health check-up to take care of my well-being.
Community
Offer a Skill or Service
Sharing our talents can benefit those around us. I will offer my skills or services that contribute to local self-sufficiency, such as teaching a repair skill or helping with a neighbor's garden.
Personal
Write in a Resilience Journal
Reflection helps us adapt and grow. I will spend 20 minutes writing in a journal about challenges I face, the strengths I use, and what helps me thrive.

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityWhat was the most rewarding part of bringing people together for a gathering? Did you experience any challenges in hosting, and if so, how did you overcome them?
Kylie Starcevic 4/07/2026 1:14 PMThe most rewarding part of bringing individuals together for a gathering was seeing the happiness throughout the room when everyone was together. The only hard part about hosting was finding a day that worked best for everyone, but I was able to overcome this by asking everyone what their main free day is. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalWhat motivated you to schedule or attend your check-up, and how did it make you feel afterward that you completed this action?
Kylie Starcevic 4/07/2026 1:10 PMWhen I realized it had been a few months since I last had my teeth cleaned by the dentist, it motivated me to schedule an appointment immediately. Our teeth are very important and need to be taken care of properly, which is why it made me feel better after I got done with my appointment. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBiodiversity and WildlifeWhat natural features did you leave in place, and what wildlife do you think could benefit from them?
Kylie Starcevic 4/01/2026 9:57 AMI left natural features such as trees, rocks, and water in place. I believe that birds would benefit from them for nesting and food, and small mammals would benefit from them for shelter. Additionally, amphibians could benefit if there is water close by.
