      Totally agree!
I can say that after 4 hours of work, a break at the gym and a little stretching gives me enough energy for the whole afternoon.

An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money? What patterns did you notice in the food you threw away, and how can you address them?

Personally, I can think of so many better ways to use the money you lose due to food waste—like going on a memorable family trip, enrolling in a new course, or even enhancing our home.
When I looked at my own habits, I noticed I often threw away leftovers and fruits and vegetables that went bad because I bought too much. To tackle this, I’m making a conscious effort to plan meals more carefully, buy only what I need, and properly store food to keep it fresh longer. By being more mindful, I can reduce waste, save money, and contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle.

I'm also trying to meal plan at the beginning of the week to help waste less food! We also have a lot of stuff stored in our extra refrigerator in the garage so I need to "audit" that and start planning meals around what we already have.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet? What fruits or vegetables did you try this week, and which was your favorite?

Eating more fruits like grapes and apples and less meat has great benefits for you, others, and our planet. For you, consuming more fruits leads to improved health through essential vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants, reducing the risk of diseases. For society, it can lower healthcare costs related to diet-related issues. Environmentally, it reduces greenhouse gas emissions and conserves resources since fruit production is more sustainable than meat production.
Today I enjoyed trying both grapes and apples. My favorite was the crisp, juicy apple—it’s not only delicious but also packed with nutrients. So, adding more fruits to your diet is a simple and tasty way to make a positive impact!
