Today being the last day of earth challenge, I found a very relevant quote.
"Treat Everyday on Earth as if it is your last day on earth because it really is, until you spend another day on earth."

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Wildlife
How did it feel to plant something, and what kind of gardening did you do (indoors, hydroponic, outside in a garden, etc)? What did you plant and where? Feel free to share a photo to the feed!

I do indoor gardening. In our balcony, I planted some vegetables.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Wildlife
Are you a gardener or house plant lover? Why or why not? What do you need to elevate your plant care skills?

    Dijesh Shah 4/30/2025 12:57 PM
I am not a gardener and going through my learning phase. I end up over watering.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Sustainable Innovation
What sustainable product did you purchase, and how does it align with your values?

    Dijesh Shah's avatar
    Dijesh Shah 4/30/2025 12:56 PM
Recycled storage boxes is what we purchased in this earth month
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What was the most unexpected piece of trash that was picked up during your local cleanup effort? How does working with others to clean up your community make you feel?

    Dijesh Shah's avatar
    Dijesh Shah 4/30/2025 12:55 PM
During the cleaning effort, we noticed 3 large boxes of pizza not eaten at all. The food item got wasted which could have fed so many people.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land, Water, and Air
What surprised you most about your water footprint, and how did it influence your perspective on water use? What changes can you make to reduce your water consumption, and how will these impact your daily routine?

    Dijesh Shah's avatar
    Dijesh Shah 4/30/2025 12:54 PM
The amount of water usage in cleaning of home and showers was quite a surprise for me. Short showers help reducing water usage significantly.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land, Water, and Air
Where in your life do you emit the most carbon? What change are you willing to make in your daily life to reduce this output?

    Dijesh Shah's avatar
    Dijesh Shah 4/30/2025 12:51 PM
Electricity usage through usage of Air Conditioning was our major carbon emission. We now use fans and air conditioning alternatively to balance our carbon emissions.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land, Water, and Air
What benefits do forests offer you personally? What certifications or labels will you look for when purchasing wood and paper products, and why?

    Dijesh Shah's avatar
    Dijesh Shah 4/30/2025 12:49 PM
When I buy any wooden product, I look for declaration by the company on how many trees they planted.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land, Water, and Air
How did being mindful of vehicle idling change your perspective on fuel consumption and air quality? What other transportation habits can you adopt to reduce your environmental impact?

    Dijesh Shah's avatar
    Dijesh Shah 4/30/2025 12:47 PM
Driving at consistent speed without unnecessary braking and accelerating ensures reduced fuel consumption and improves mileage of the vehicle. It also reduces environmental impact.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

We ensure to cook limited portion size to avoid food wastage.
