Reduce Vehicle Idling

Idling cars wastes fuel, contributes to climate change, and pollutes the air in our communities. I will turn off my engine when waiting in my car to reduce air pollution and carbon emissions.

Save Water When Washing Dishes

Dishwashers can save water — if used wisely. I will only run the dishwasher when it’s full and skip the pre-rinse to reduce water and energy use. If I don't have a dishwasher, I will turn off the tap as often as possible while washing dishes.

More fruits and veggies makes me feel more energized and healthier. I notice that my skin is clearer too! It's also kinder to animals and to the earth to eat more veggies. My favorite snack is apples and peanut butter, and for dinner I enjoy making veggie curry or a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup.

Changing dish washing habits made me more conscious of the resources that we take for granted every day. I can help conserve water by taking shorter showers, turning the faucet off while brushing teeth, collecting rainwater to water my house plants.
