Use a Reusable Water Bottle

It's estimated over a billion water bottles are thrown away each year. Even if they were recycled, that still uses energy and resources from the earth. I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 3 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.

I just love that this is brought to awareness for at least April. I would suggest highlighting one of these every month throughout the year.

What did you learn about the amount of plastic we consume and what actions will you take to reduce your use of plastic?

I saw a show on TV that showed the plastic that was washing into a pay or beach in the Gulf of Mexico and how a young man was working with a group to gather them all up, sort, and recycle. Amazing! And there is a way to recycle we just need to use a little more energy to get it done. I will try to make it a point to make more people plastic aware.
