UNCOMPLETED
ONE-TIME ACTION

Wildlife

Use Reusable Bags

Plastic bags do not always end up in landfills and if they aren't properly disposed of. In nature, they can be mistaken for food by many wild animals and harm wildlife. When I go shopping, I will be sure to bring my own bags to reduce waste and the chance that plastic bags could find their way into wildlife habitats.

DAILY ACTIONS

Land, Water, and Air

Produce No Waste for a Day

The impacts of our waste are far reaching. I will create zero waste for an entire day and share my reflections and learnings on the feed.

COMPLETED 18
DAILY ACTIONS

Wildlife

Protect Pollinators with a Plant or Mini-Habitat

Pollinators need a little help from their friends like us! I will take 3 steps to protect pollinators, such as planting a pollinator-friendly plant, installing a pollinator hotel, or by leaving leaf litter for pollinators to call home.

COMPLETED 18
DAILY ACTIONS

Wildlife

Remove Invasive Species

Removing invasive species (species that are not naturally found in my area and can outcompete native plants) can help beautify nature around me and protect local biodiversity. I will learn about invasive plants in my area and, if possible, support or participate in at least one effort to beautify nature near me by removing invasive species.

COMPLETED 18
DAILY ACTIONS

Sustainable Innovation

Share a Sustainable Innovation Discovery!

Innovation thrives when we share ideas. I will share 10 sustainable innovation discoveries on social media or in the Ecochallenge feed to inspire others to explore creative solutions.

I usually water my plants at home every 2days, but with the hot climate we are experiencing right now, I water them everyday with small amounts, just to keep the soil most to help their roots to grow.

A good habit to keep is to keep little trash and segregate them immediately in our pockets, so we won't miss when throwing them in their proper bins.
