Action Track
Participate in a Habitat Restoration Project
Healthy habitats support resilient wildlife populations. I will join 1 restoration efforts, such as planting native plants, cleaning a natural area, or repairing trails to protect biodiversity.
Personal
Meditate
Meditation helps build resilience and clarity. I will spend 5 minutes each day to meditate or create a moment of silence each day to reflect on things important to me.
Soil and Food
Enjoy a Meatless Meal
Producing 1 kg of beef emits as much greenhouse gas as driving 150 miles, meanwhile, 1 kg of veggies or grains leaves a much lighter footprint! This week, I’ll shrink my climate impact by having 1 meatless meals meals each day.
Action Track
Take Part in a Community Beautification Project
Working together builds resilience and pride in the places we care about. I will participate in 1 community projects such as a cleanup or local beautification project that strengthens connections and shared purpose.
Personal
Enjoy Fruits and Veggies
Eating a wide variety of colorful fruits and vegetables is a simple way to boost our personal health and support a more resilient food system. I will prepare and enjoy 2 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.
Soil and Food
Compost My Food Waste
Composting turns waste into a resource, building soil health and cutting methane emissions from landfills. I will compost food scraps at home, school, or in my community, which avoids sending up to 0.42 lbs (0.19 kg) of food waste to the landfill per day.
Community
Host a Gathering
Bringing people together helps strengthen bonds. I will organize and host a gathering, such as a potluck, coffee meet up, or shared meal, for friends, family, colleagues, or neighbors to foster connection and community spirit.
Community
Offer a Skill or Service
Sharing our talents can benefit those around us. I will offer my skills or services that contribute to local self-sufficiency, such as teaching a repair skill or helping with a neighbor's garden.
Personal
Prepare for Extreme Weather
Extreme weather events like hurricanes, wildfires, and floods can disrupt lives and upend our communities. I will take proactive steps to prepare for extreme weather by safeguarding my home and creating or updating an emergency plan and kit with essential supplies, evacuation routes, and contact information.
Community
Swap and Share with Others
Swapping and sharing resources reduces waste and builds community bonds. I will participate in 1 swaps or sharing activities, like borrowing items, attending or hosting a swap meet, or giving away items I no longer need to support a sharing economy with friends, family, colleagues or neighbors.
Soil and Food
Choose Water-Smart Foods
The foods we eat carry hidden “water footprints” that affect rivers, soils, and communities worldwide. I will reduce servings of high-water-use foods and choose alternatives that help conserve water and support more resilient food systems.

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet? What fruits or vegetables did you try this week, and which was your favorite?

Me too! Not only does it benefit our overall health but also the plant. Eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat benefits the planet in several important ways. It reduces greenhouse gas emissions that are produced by livestock farming, which helps slow down climate change. It also uses less water and land compared to meat production, making natural resources more sustainable. In addition, it helps reduce deforestation and habitat loss because fewer forests need to be cleared for animal farming and feed crops. Overall, this kind of diet lowers environmental pollution from agriculture and supports a healthier, more sustainable planet.
A few of my favorite fruits and vegetables are grapes, watermelon, bananas, tomatoes and carrots.

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalWhat did you notice about your thoughts or emotions during or after meditation? How might mindfulness or calmness support your well-being day to day?
Meghan Rupp 4/15/2026 8:01 AM- Community Builder 🤝
Meditation is not easy but over time time gets a little easier-
vanessa McClatchey 4/15/2026 8:25 AM- Parent 🐻
During meditation, I noticed that my mind started off quite busy with many different thoughts, but as I continued focusing on my breathing, things slowly became calmer. At first, it was a bit difficult to stay focused, but I realized that it was normal for my mind to wander. After finishing the meditation, I felt more relaxed and less stressed than before. My thoughts felt clearer and more organized, and I had a sense of calmness that stayed with me for a while. This experience showed me that mindfulness can be very helpful in daily life. By staying calm and present, I can handle stress better and avoid reacting too quickly to problems. It can also help me concentrate more in school and make better decisions. Overall, mindfulness seems like a simple but powerful way to improve my well-being every day.

Joining forces with my team to clean up the waterfront. When we show up together like this, it sends a clear message: environmental stewardship isn’t someone else’s job, it’s a responsibility we all share.
