Land, Water, and Air
Understand My Water Footprint
Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.
Empowering the Next Generation
Conduct an Audit with a Young Person
Learning by doing empowers youth. I will conduct an environmental audit — such as a home energy or waste audit — alongside a young person to teach them practical sustainability skills and see what I learn from them as well.
Empowering the Next Generation
Support Youth Climate Activists
Youth activists are leading the charge for a better world. I will spend 5 minutes learning about or supporting youth climate activists through sharing their work or attending their events.
Health and Well-Being
Audit Toxic Products in my Home
Many common products contain harmful chemicals. I will spend 5 minutes researching chemicals found in products I use, and I will make a list of products I'd like to replace with safer options.
Empowering the Next Generation
Listen to Youth
Youth voices matter and deserve to be heard. I will spend 5 minutes actively listening to and learning from young people about concerns, ideas, or experiences about environmental issues, either through conversations, speeches, or media.
Empowering the Next Generation
Learn About Indigenous Conservation Practices
Indigenous communities have stewarded ecosystems for generations through deep-rooted knowledge and connection to nature. I will spend 5 minutes exploring Indigenous conservation methods and reflecting on their role in fostering balance and equity with nature.
Empowering the Next Generation
Donate to Support Emerging Leaders
Investing in young leaders helps shape the future. I will make a donation to a program or organization that supports emerging environmental leaders.
Health and Well-Being
Go Get a Check Up
Regular health check-ups help prevent problems before they start. I will schedule or attend a medical, dental, or mental health check-up to take care of my well-being.
Empowering the Next Generation
Learn about a Young Leader
Young people are making a big impact on the world. I will spend 5 minutes learning about a young leader working on environmental or social justice issues to get inspired and share their story on social media or the Ecochallenge feed.
Empowering the Next Generation
Read an Environmental Book with a Child
Stories inspire curiosity and care for the world. I will read 5 environmental-themed books with a child to help them learn about nature and sustainability.
Empowering the Next Generation
Enjoy the Environment with Youth
Experiencing nature together builds appreciation and connection. I will spend 5 minutes enjoying an outdoor activity with a young person, such as hiking, visiting a park or nature center, or exploring a trail.
Empowering the Next Generation
Support a School
Schools play a crucial role in youth development and be hubs for sustainability. I will donate funds, time, or supplies to 5 local schools to support environmental education, field trips, sustainability projects, and youth empowerment. I will share how I supported schools on the feed.
Health and Well-Being
Learn About Local Environmental Justice Concerns
Environmental issues often impact marginalized communities the most. I will spend 5 minutes researching environmental justice concerns in my region, who is affected by them, and local initiatives to address these concerns.

I've always believed that small actions can create big change, and joining the Eco Challenge is my way of being more intentional about how I impact the planet. Nature has given me so much peace, healing, and a sense of connection and this challenge is an opportunity to give back. During this journey, I hope to learn more about sustainable living and discover practical ways to reduce waste, conserve resources, and make mindful choices in my daily life. I also want to challenge my own habits, break free from convenience-driven routines, and embrace more eco-friendly alternative. One of the things I like about this challenge is that it brings together like-minded people who share experiences, tips, and lessons learned. It's inspiring to be part of a community where we can support and learn from each other while working toward a common goal. I don't just want to make temporary changes; I want to adopt lasting habits that align with a more sustainable lifestyle, and I hope to inspire others along the way, proving that every effort -big or small- matters. Together, we can create a healthier planet for future generations.
