Land, Water, and Air
Collect Rain Water
Rainwater collection reduces water waste and supports gardens. I will install a rain barrel or collect rainwater to use for 1 outdoor tasks, such as watering plants or cleaning.
Land, Water, and Air
Take Shorter Showers
Conserving water helps protect this precious resource. I will shorten my showers to 5 minutes to save water and reduce energy use - each time saving up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water!
Land, Water, and Air
Save Water When Washing Dishes
Dishwashers can save water — if used wisely. I will only run the dishwasher when it’s full and skip the pre-rinse to reduce water and energy use. If I don't have a dishwasher, I will turn off the tap as often as possible while washing dishes.

laura ricotta 4/05/2025 9:05 AMwhy not do it. its not like its that complicated and yet thsi small action has large implications. We are lucky in Canada to have so much water...how much of it is still ours to use.I have recently learnt that Olivier Primeau ons 36% of Quebec's water ......although he seems to be very conscious about the future of water I am somewhat concerned about this issue-
