I'm always traveling during this month so it's been hard to keep up on the daily but I like keeping track of what I'm doing.

It was nice to help with the local farmers at the market and see everyone enjoying themselves. Also nice to see a great turnout at the protests.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community and Connection
What skill or service did you offer, and how did it impact someone in your community? How did sharing your expertise or time help you feel more connected to others?

I always try to help when I can but I did just help someone who was struggling with their resume. They have been out of the job search process for years and it's changed a lot. I've had several friends go through it recently so I was able to get her resume into a one page, ready to be read by computer document, from about 3 or 4 pages.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community and Connection
What new places or experiences did you discover in your local area? How has exploring your community changed your perspective or sense of connection?

We have a lot of new area down around the waterfront here and it's a really nice place to just chill and watch the water and all the people from the community.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Well-Being
What surprised you most about the products you use in your home?

    Heather Reese's avatar
    Heather Reese 4/30/2025 8:38 AM
Honestly, it didn't surprise me, I've always known there are chemicals everywhere.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Well-Being
What product did you replace, and why was it important to you? How do you feel about making a small change for a healthier, more sustainable home?

    Heather Reese's avatar
    Heather Reese 4/30/2025 8:38 AM
I've been in the process of replacing personal and home products with less chemical filled ones and ones that can be refilled.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Sustainable Innovation
What actions did you take to advocate for sustainable food packaging, and how were they received? How do you think widespread changes in food packaging could benefit the planet?

    Heather Reese's avatar
    Heather Reese 4/30/2025 8:36 AM
I always try to advocate with my dollars. If I notice something in a restaurant I mention it and things like that.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land, Water, and Air
What surprised you most about your water footprint, and how did it influence your perspective on water use? What changes can you make to reduce your water consumption, and how will these impact your daily routine?

    Heather Reese's avatar
    Heather Reese 4/30/2025 8:34 AM
unfortunately I have a tankless water heater and that takes time to heat up when the water is turned off. sometimes I'll try to save that water and use it in the garden but I don't always. I've tried to have plants that require less water and I generally do full loads of laundry only
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land, Water, and Air
Where in your life do you emit the most carbon? What change are you willing to make in your daily life to reduce this output?

    Heather Reese's avatar
    Heather Reese 4/30/2025 8:32 AM
In my daily life, I have always tried to reduce the amount of driving I do though it isn't much to begin with. I rarely heat my home but I do try to keep the thermostat higher with the a/c. Reducing consumption and food waste has been a big focus. My worst crime is the flying and I try to offset it when I can.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Wildlife
Are you a gardener or house plant lover? Why or why not? What do you need to elevate your plant care skills?

    Heather Reese's avatar
    Heather Reese 4/30/2025 8:30 AM
I am both. I've never been especially great at it but I keep trying and somehow manage to keep things alive. I can't do too many indoor house plants because I have a doofus cat that eats anything green, including plastic plants and that reduces my available area to have things inside.
