Like the olden times, we still own candles and flood light torches with us. This was a learning from the Floods of 2015 where we experienced power cuts for over 5 days. Hence, being old school is the best way to be prepared.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Well-Being
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet? What fruits or vegetables did you try this week, and which was your favorite?

I feel more responsible even if i include one fruit / vegetable in every meal that I cook. Every step counts and every baby step paves way to greater miles is what I repeat to myself. Although I was a very choosy eater in my childhood, I have grown my children in such a way that they understand what they eat :)

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE: - A catchy mantra that's easy to remember and impactful in practice. First, focus on reducing waste by choosing items that last, like reusable shopping bags or metal water bottles instead of their disposable counterparts.

Reusing items might require a dash of creativity, but thinking outside the box can lead to new and inventive purposes for everyday objects. The conventional practice of recycling also plays a significant role here.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with your local recycling guidelines so you know what can go where. Often, materials like paper, glass, plastic, and metals have separate streams, ensuring they can be transformed into new, useful items.

Instead of tossing things away, consider upcycling — it’s not only beneficial to the planet but can also be a fun DIY project.

Yes, i am. We need not go over extra mile to be a plant parent. I developed the interest in me when i find the daily usage herbs like curry leaves or coriander goes a waste or dried inside the refrigerator. Thats when i stopped buying these herbs and started growing them in my balcony. They not only give your house a good vibe and aroma but also saves you a penny or two. I would like to name a few of my plant kids - betel leaf, mint, coriander, curry leaves, omavalli, tulsi, etc
