Use Reusable Bags

Plastic bags do not always end up in landfills and if they aren't properly disposed of. In nature, they can be mistaken for food by many wild animals and harm wildlife. When I go shopping, I will be sure to bring my own bags to reduce waste and the chance that plastic bags could find their way into wildlife habitats.

Conserving water helps protect this precious resource. I will shorten my showers to 5 minutes to save water and reduce energy use - each time saving up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water!

Wasting food also wastes water, energy, and resources. I will keep a daily log of food I throw away during the Ecochallenge, either because it went bad before I ate it, I put too much on my plate, or it was scraps from food preparation, and commit to reducing my food waste throughout the challenge.

    During meditation it was nice because my mind was silent. After my mind felt relaxed. At the start of the Eco Challenge I found it hard to calm my mind, now I am good at calming my mind and it is easier to meditate.

      Yes right, meditation keeps our mind light and our concentration levels increase dramatically. Initial days will be struggle as mind keeps wavering all over and it takes time to get our focus.

    I have actually found this difficult. I keep reusable bags in my car. Most of the time I tend to forget them in my car. I also don't go shopping too much to the point that I need to use them, but I still find it hard to get used to.
