    My neighbor, Jamie, who lives on the other side of my building floor, occasionally exchanges food with me, like egg muffins or soup.

    He is planning to put up a Mother's day plant cutting sale, and I bought some tiny ceramic pots for him to use for the sale. I gave them to Jamie this morning and he was happy! I'm excited for the sale.. and so glad to have him as a neighbor. He does nice things for everyone in the building.

    It's easier to meditate on a Friday, for sure.

    In the span of 10 minutes, there were times when meditating felt easy and times when it felt hard. Focusing on my breathwork helps me out a lot. I felt better knowing I had spent the time to connect with myself.

    I played tennis 3 days in a row since Sunday! It's a great way to train my focus, and to also exercise my spatial / depth perception considering I spend so much time starting at a screen! Keeps physics and motor control super relevant, and it's refreshing to have some control over something in my life :D

    The Colorado Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management has a page on preparedness which references a section on Pet Disaster Preparedness which I had never considered.

    Since I moved into a new apartment 1.5 years ago I haven't re-configured my bugout bag... and now I will also include things for my dog, Bonnie. This will include:
    • Spare leash / harness
    • Food, drinking water, bowls
    • Medications and copies of medical records stored in a waterproof container
    • A first aid kit
    • Current photos of you with your pet(s) in case they get lost. Since many pets look alike, this will help to eliminate mistaken identity and confusion.
    • Information on feeding schedules, medical conditions, behavior problems, and the name and number of your veterinarian in case you have to foster or board your pets.

    I love being a part of something bigger than myself, and smiling at the huge impact we have as a collective of humans!

    So far, I have chosen community-oriented actions, which I have already established as a priority for myself this year. Working on being more rooted in the place I live.
