Meditate
Meditation helps build resilience and clarity. I will spend 10 minutes each day to meditate or create a moment of silence each day to reflect on things important to me.
Land, Water, and Air
Learn About Water Justice
Access to clean water is a basic right, yet not everyone has it. I will spend 60 minutes learning about water justice issues and who is affected.

Take Shorter Showers
Conserving water helps protect this precious resource. I will shorten my showers to 5 minutes to save water and reduce energy use - each time saving up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water!

Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 45 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingWhat did you notice about your thoughts or emotions during or after meditation? Did you find it easy or challenging to meditate?
Shannon Phanmaha 4/28/2025 8:49 AMI find meditating challenging because it is hard for me to clear my mind and just be in the moment. What helps me during meditation is to concentrate on something specific, like the sound of trees rustling when I have a window open. This allows me to clear all other thoughts, and I eventually reach a state of stillness. I notice my focus and ability to concentrate on tasks is improved after meditating. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingHow did exercising each day impact your physical or mental well-being? What activity did you enjoy most, and why?
Shannon Phanmaha 4/24/2025 1:34 PMExercising has helped me relax more. Being active outside instantly puts me in a good mood and allows me to be less stressed about other things for the moment. I enjoy skateboarding with my dog because it makes the monotonous task of regular walks something that I actually look forward to instead. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand, Water, and AirHow did shortening your showers affect your awareness of water conservation? What other water-saving practices can you adopt in your daily routine?
Shannon Phanmaha 4/23/2025 7:12 AMTaking shorter showers not only reduces the amount of water I consume, but it also decreases my carbon footprint because the energy used to heat water is from fossil fuels. An added benefit of quick showers is that I feel more prepared for the day when I start the day accomplishing a goal I've set for myself.
