Audit Toxic Products in my Home

Many common products contain harmful chemicals. I will spend 15 minutes researching chemicals found in products I use, and I will make a list of products I'd like to replace with safer options.

Wildlife

Use Reusable Bags

Plastic bags do not always end up in landfills and if they aren't properly disposed of. In nature, they can be mistaken for food by many wild animals and harm wildlife. When I go shopping, I will be sure to bring my own bags to reduce waste and the chance that plastic bags could find their way into wildlife habitats.

I did not expect many products that are marketed as “green” or “natural" have harmful chemicals hidden in the fine print mainly air fresheners and cleaning sprays.

How did replacing old bulbs with LED bulbs make you feel about reducing your energy consumption? What other small energy-saving actions could you take to reduce your environmental impact?

Despite being such a small change, switching to LED bulbs has a significant impact on your electricity bill and energy use. It also gives you a sense of empowerment, as if you're becoming more environmentally conscious without putting in a lot of work.

Below are the similar small actions which can bring a difference to energy consumption..
Turning off lights when leaving a room.
Unplugging devices when they’re not in use
Washing clothes in cold water and only running full loads.
Air-drying clothes, instead of using a dryer.
    Switching to low-flow showerheads.

Single-use plastic bags are conveniently provided by stores at the checkout area. We initially found it quite difficult to make the move to reusable bags because we were not used to it!
However, reusable bags are more environmentally friendly, stronger, and able to hold more goods. This encouraged us to begin utilizing them. We frequently forget to bring them to stores when we first started. But with time, we started keeping pair in the vehicle itself, so that we will not forget it to take to the stores.

Exactly true Bibin...the start is always difficult....either due to the comfort & laziness or just because it come free. One twice thrice...it becomes habit in future....Before all the plastic bags during my early years always used to carry bags from home......mainly jute or cloth bags.. really great we came back to the past with a reason
