Let's contribute by saving electricity, we can switch off TV, fans, AC, lights, coolers, if not needed or while leaving that room. Look for kids' room, normally all these equipment's are ON even if kids went out.

Earlier days, we used to buy new things only when absolutely necessary. We had no problem using the old/used books or clothes of our elder brother/sister. But now the impulsive shopping has filled our homes with clutter. So before buying something new, we should first look for ways to recycle or reuse what we already own. This will reduce waste and also provide more space in our house.

Taking first step out of bed early morning without snoozing the alarm and leaving mobile untouched, are the biggest hurdles, I think, for starting morning routine for great new week. And if we get over it and step out, we do all our morning routine easily.
We all know if we snooze that alarm or if we think of looking at our mobile for quick one, then later we realize all our morning time gone out of our hand. I am sure that everyone of us experienced it.

    One daily observation:
We’re lucky to have 24/7 water and during winter days or early morning bath, we need hot/warm water, and we rely mostly on solar hot water.
Sometimes it's difficult to get hot solar water immediately and cold water comes for some time initially, so we keep water tap running. While waiting for solar hot water, it’s easy to get distracted by our phones and let the tap run. This wastes both water and the energy used to heat it.
Let’s commit few minutes of conscious effort of catching initial cold water in another small bucket (This water can be used for cleaning or watering plants later) and let's not get distracted till we get bucket full hot water.
    Every drop counts in summer.

Our daily routine needs a reset on regular basis and if this break is spent in nature, then its better, a kind of meditation.

    As summer temperatures soar to
    40 degC
, we often seek refuge in
    20 degC
air-conditioned environment and reach for ice-cold drinks. This drastic temperature gap puts significant stress on our bodies.

To help your body manage the heat more effectively, try adopting these natural cooling habits:

    • Hydrate Naturally: Opt for refreshing drinks like lemon water or coconut water to replenish electrolytes.
    • Use a Clay Pot (Matka): Instead of fridge-cold water, use an earthen clay pot. It cools water naturally to a temperature that is gentle on your throat and stomach.
    • Improve Air Circulation: Switch off the AC for at least 30 minutes in the early morning and open your windows to let fresh air circulate through your home.

Frequent online orders resulting in lots of garbage due to packaging material needed for these orders. Try to purchase it from nearby local shops if possible, which will help reduce need of packaging and also reduce need of vehicle & fuel consumption for home delivery.
