- 9-DAY STREAK
I am working on my closet because it's a chaotic mess and stressing me out. A decluttering expert says we shouldn't let our clothes bully us. If I don't feel good wearing something right now, it has to go! I will be donating to the local food bank's thrift store. I've been a lot more mindful this past year about the items I am bringing into my home. -

Share My Why
Share My Why
I will share my Ecochallenge story and why I'm taking action for the planet — and earn 15 points!
Wildlife
Learn about Native Species
The world is full of unique species that all play an important role in nature. I will spend 15 minutes learning what the native plants and wildlife are in my region.
Wildlife
Remove Invasive Species
Removing invasive species (species that are not naturally found in my area and can outcompete native plants) can help beautify nature around me and protect local biodiversity. I will learn about invasive plants in my area and, if possible, support or participate in at least one effort to beautify nature near me by removing invasive species.
Community and Connection
Visit or Learn About a Culturally Significant Site Near Me
Sites of cultural and spiritual significance hold deep meaning for many communities, particularly Indigenous peoples. I will learn about or visit a site near me that is significant to the history, culture, or environment of the area. I will approach my visit with respect by researching its importance and guidelines beforehand, reflecting on how we can preserve these spaces for future generations.
Land, Water, and Air
Produce No Waste for a Day
The impacts of our waste are far reaching. I will create zero waste for an entire day and share my reflections and learnings on the feed.
Health and Well-Being
Declutter and Donate
Decluttering can reduce stress and benefit others. I will declutter my home and donate items I no longer need to support others in my community.
Health and Well-Being
Replace a Product
Small changes can make a big difference for health and sustainability. Using what I learned from auditing ingredients in the products I use, I will replace 3 toxic or harmful products I use with safer, eco-friendly alternatives.
Health and Well-Being
Enjoy the Outdoors for 30 Minutes
Studies have shown that when we spend consistent time in nature, our health improves, our creativity increases, and our connection to the planet gets stronger. Each day of the Ecochallenge, I will spend 30 minutes outside, then share my observations, reflections, and learnings on the feed.
Health and Well-Being
Audit Toxic Products in my Home
Many common products contain harmful chemicals. I will spend 20 minutes researching chemicals found in products I use, and I will make a list of products I'd like to replace with safer options.

Karen Pasqual 4/05/2025 8:40 AMWe visited the Etowah Indian Mound State Historic Site in Cartersville. Most interesting was the v-shaped fish trap used for catching fish.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlifeWhat invasive species did you learn about in your area, and how do they impact native plants and wildlife? If you were able to support or partiicpate in an effort to remove invasive species, what did you do, and how it go?
Karen Pasqual 4/05/2025 8:29 AMKudzu - it had started climbing up bushes and trees in my community. Every spring/summer, we clear kudzu by digging out the root or cutting the vine near the root to stop it from spreading.-
