Health and Well-Being
Reduce Refined Sugar
Cutting back on refined sugar can improve energy, mood, and overall health. I will limit my intake of sugary snacks and drinks by reducing refined sugar in meals or snacks each day.
Sustainable Innovation
Advocate For Better Food Packaging
When companies and governments make large-scale changes to their products and practices, it makes sustainability more accessible to the masses, in turn creating further demand for sustainable products, and the cycle continues. I will advocate for improved, sustainable food packaging through petitions, letters, or by supporting brands that prioritize eco-friendly packaging - and share my advocacy actions on the feed.
Sustainable Innovation
Donate to or Support Low-Income Solar Initiatives
Clean energy should be accessible to all. I will support, donate, or volunteer to help programs that bring solar energy to low-income communities, helping create a more equitable and sustainable future.
Wildlife
Remove Invasive Species
Removing invasive species (species that are not naturally found in my area and can outcompete native plants) can help beautify nature around me and protect local biodiversity. I will learn about invasive plants in my area and, if possible, support or participate in at least one effort to beautify nature near me by removing invasive species.
Sustainable Innovation
Support a Crowdfunded Sustainability Innovation
Small contributions can drive big ideas. I will support a crowdfunded sustainability project to help bring innovative, eco-friendly solutions to life and share the project on social media or on the Ecochallenge feed.
Sustainable Innovation
Invest in the Future of Sustainability
Sustainable investments shape a greener future. I will research and invest in companies, funds, or projects that supports sustainability, such as renewable energy, green tech, or sustainable practices. I will share more about who I supported with others on social media or in the Ecochallenge feed.
Wildlife
Protect Pollinators with a Plant or Mini-Habitat
Pollinators need a little help from their friends like us! I will take 1 steps to protect pollinators, such as planting a pollinator-friendly plant, installing a pollinator hotel, or by leaving leaf litter for pollinators to call home.
Health and Well-Being
Share a Health or Well-being Resource
Sharing knowledge helps others nurture their well-being. Through social media, in the Ecochallenge feed, or in conversations, I will share 1 health or well-being resources with friends, family, or my community to promote a healthier, more resilient world.

REFLECTION QUESTIONSustainable InnovationWhat sustainability project did you support, and why did it resonate with you?
Marylene Pascua 4/30/2025 8:46 AMGreen technologies, Circular economy and sustainable agriculture and I choose to support these projects because it addresses the increasing number of global challenges (such as climate change, resource depletion, etc.) that we are facing today, and it builds a more sustainable future for us and to the next generations. I believe that it will be great investment in supporting these projects. -
REFLECTION QUESTION
Empowering the Next GenerationWhat did you learn about the youth climate activists you supported, and how do their efforts inspire you?
Marylene Pascua 4/30/2025 4:31 AM- Pet Parent 🐾
- 17-DAY STREAK
I've learned about the YACAP (Youth Advocates for Climate Action Philippines) member organizations, what they have done since 2020, Youth Climate Agenda 2025, Petition and Donation Drives and a lot more. I realized that member organizations are usually from colleges/ universities and other NGO group as well. Though this is just a new formed group, it inspired me to help and support them because I believe that they are next generations who will stand and fight for their love of Mother Earth and community. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSustainable InnovationWhat actions did you take to advocate for sustainable food packaging, and how were they received? How do you think widespread changes in food packaging could benefit the planet?
Marylene Pascua 4/30/2025 4:22 AM- Pet Parent 🐾
- 17-DAY STREAK
I share my advocacy to my close friends who accepted the idea and welcomed a sustainable lifestyle as well. I will continue to share my advocacy and the lessons that I've learned here in ecochallenge to continually influence my family and friends. By doing this, I will be able to make small steps but will have a bigger impact later on -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand, Water, and AirHow did collecting rainwater influence your understanding of sustainable water use? What tasks or activities could benefit most from rainwater collection in your household?
Marylene Pascua 4/30/2025 4:16 AM- Pet Parent 🐾
- 17-DAY STREAK
I believe that collecting water (not just from rainwater) and use it to other purposes is important and a very practical approach to sustainable lifestyle. Nothing goes into waste, but everything is repurposed. If every household and community does this, we will be able to save our money and more importantly our water resources. We could use the rainwater in cleaning our cars and other items, for watering our plants and so much more. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingWhat did you do to prepare for extreme weather events? Share any tips or resources you found helpful in the feed!

REFLECTION QUESTIONSustainable InnovationEquitable access, environmental justice and creating employment opportunities are just a few advantages of low-income solar programs. What motivated you to support solar energy initiatives for low-income communities, and how do you think it contributes to a more equitable future?
Marylene Pascua 4/29/2025 12:03 AM- Pet Parent 🐾
- 17-DAY STREAK
I believe that by supporting solar energy would empower the community in having renewable energy and energy efficiency and would help them on having a sustainable lifestyle/ practice. This will have a long-term effect in reducing emissions thus will also help on achieving food security especially on the farming and fishing communities. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSustainable InnovationWhat sustainability initiative did you invest in, and what inspired your choice? How do you feel about your role in shaping a greener future through your investment?
Marylene Pascua 4/28/2025 11:54 PM- Pet Parent 🐾
- 17-DAY STREAK
I invest in World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWF- Philippines) since I believe in their objectives and mission which is to stop, and eventually reverse the accelerating degradation of the Philippine environment - to build a future where Filipinos live in harmony with nature. I feel proud and i believe that this will the start of working with an organization with the same purpose as mine. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlifeWhat project or organization did you choose to support, and why did it resonate with you? What are some ways you can continue to support wildlife conservation beyond financial contributions?
Marylene Pascua 4/28/2025 11:27 PM- Pet Parent 🐾
- 17-DAY STREAK
I chose to support GfOrest (under Gcash Platform) since they are rebuilding Philippine forests by planting trees on my behalf. This resonates with me in terms of giving our forests and next generation hope and love for the Mother Nature. Beyond financial contributions, i would support wildlife conservation by taking good care of my garden, and pollinators within our community. I also plan to continually influence my family and friends to plant vegetable plants and trees in their garden.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity and ConnectionWhat did you enjoy or learn from attending a local event in your community? How did participating in this event deepen your connection to your local area?
Marylene Pascua 4/28/2025 8:26 PM- Pet Parent 🐾
- 17-DAY STREAK
I learn that spending time with your neighbors and community foster a deep sense of connections, accountability and trust to one another. During one the activities, I was able to meet my godfather (after 30 years) and learned a lot from him and his family - this brings back my childhood memories with him and I felt that even though we've been apart for years - the love and concern will always be there. In the same way, people can start as strangers but can end up good neighbors and friends. Spending time with people help one to wonder and appreciate life - there will always be wisdom on it.-
