Share My Why
Take the Earth Month Ecochallenge Feedback Survey
I will take a short survey about my experience to help the Ecochallenge team improve future events, earn a chance to win a prize, and earn 15 points!
Land, Water, and Air
Learn to Choose Forest-Friendly Foods
Our food choices can help protect forests and wildlife. I will spend 90 minutes learning how to choose foods that are grown in ways that protect forests, such as avoiding products linked to deforestation and seeking certified sustainable options like shade-grown coffee or palm oil-free products.
Health and Well-Being
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 45 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Wildlife
Use Reusable Bags
Plastic bags do not always end up in landfills and if they aren't properly disposed of. In nature, they can be mistaken for food by many wild animals and harm wildlife. When I go shopping, I will be sure to bring my own bags to reduce waste and the chance that plastic bags could find their way into wildlife habitats.
Health and Well-Being
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 20 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Wildlife
Log Species to Help Scientists
The more we know about the wildlife around us, the better we can protect species. I will download a wildlife monitoring app and log 3 animal or plant species I discover.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlifeWhat species did you discover and log? Why do you think that logging species can help protect them?
Heather Moon 4/03/2025 5:16 PMSpring has been cold here. Not a lot is sprouting. I found trout lily coming up in the forest and yarrow on the edge of the path. I logged them in iNaturalist. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand, Water, and AirWhat did you learn about forest-friendly foods? What sustainable food choices will you commit to making, and why are they important to you?
Heather Moon 4/01/2025 8:13 AMI learned about noxious weeds that grow in the forest that make good food, like garlic mustard! With this administration threatening the existence of our forests, I feel it is vital for each of us to do what we can to protect them.
