With the new changes that the province adopted, one of the items is tubes with lids. Knowing I can recycle old deoderant containers, helps alot!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

When I wash dishes, I'm more mindful as to how much water I'm using. I have started using less and less water in the wash and for rinsing my dishes, I fill a cup and use that for all of my rinsing.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
How did shortening your showers affect your awareness of water conservation? What other water-saving practices can you adopt in your daily routine?

Where I live, residents don't pay for water, so the thought of conserving hasn't always been first and foremost. However, by adapting to shorter showers, it's made me aware to conserve as much water as I possibly can. When I do laundry, it's every 2 weeks in cold water only, on the shortest cycle.

Have been thinking about this alot as of late, but to me, resilience means adapting to environmental change, and the ongoing effort to look after our environment. More importantly, for me, as it relates to earth month, that I'm taking small and thoughful steps towards a healthier planet & community for my kids in their future
