Community and Connection
Express Gratitude and Random Acts of Kindness
Small acts of kindness and gratitude can brighten someone's day and create a positive ripple effect. I will express gratitude to 4 people or perform 4 random acts of kindness to spread joy and connection.
Community and Connection
Support Local Businesses
Supporting local businesses helps keep communities vibrant and resilient. I will choose to shop at 3 local businesses or restaurants, with a focus on businesses owned by people of color, local farmers, or community members.
Wildlife
Learn How to Save the Bees
Bees and other pollinators are vital to ecosystems and agriculture. I will spending 20 minutes learning about local pollinators and why they are so important.
Wildlife
Use Reusable Bags
Plastic bags do not always end up in landfills and if they aren't properly disposed of. In nature, they can be mistaken for food by many wild animals and harm wildlife. When I go shopping, I will be sure to bring my own bags to reduce waste and the chance that plastic bags could find their way into wildlife habitats.
Health and Well-Being
Enjoy Fruits and Veggies
Adding fruits and vegetables to our meals nourishes our body and the planet. I will prepare and enjoy 2 servings of a variety of colorful fruits and veggies.
Sustainable Innovation
Choose a Product Made with Sustainable Materials
Every choice matters. I will purchase or switch to products made from sustainable or recycled materials to support innovation and reduce environmental impact.
Sustainable Innovation
Advocate For Better Food Packaging
When companies and governments make large-scale changes to their products and practices, it makes sustainability more accessible to the masses, in turn creating further demand for sustainable products, and the cycle continues. I will advocate for improved, sustainable food packaging through petitions, letters, or by supporting brands that prioritize eco-friendly packaging - and share my advocacy actions on the feed.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlifeHow difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?
Mahta Mahta 4/20/2025 11:05 AMHonestly, it hasn't been really hard to reduce one-time use bags. I always bring the same amount of food to school and it's always in containers or ziploc bags. I decided to swap those ziploc bags with reusable fabric pouches ! I'm no longer wasting a ziploc bag a day, and reducing my plastic consumption. -

I've been replacing cookies and pastries with fruits and it's been going well! I also try to add more veggies in my meals. Not only is it adding nutritional value, but it just tastes better. ;)-

Sometimes, I get caught up in my own little world. It was nice hitting up friends I hadn't seen in a while. We caught up on life and reminisced about our hangouts in high school. It felt like nothing had changed in the sense that no matter how long we spent time apart, we still click like we always did. I feel like that's the beauty of friendship. Meanwhile, some people are hanging on a thread to keep their friendships alive... LOL
