Explore Resources for Managing Anxiety
Anxiety can be overwhelming, but resources and strategies can help. I will spend 5 minutes exploring resources that help manage anxiety and stress to support my mental and psychological well being.
Work and Organizations
Host a Low or No-Waste Lunch or Gathering
Sharing meals builds connection and resilience. I will organize 1 low or no-waste lunches, coffee breaks, or informal gatherings with colleagues, classmates, or volunteers to build stronger relationships and reduce waste.
Take the Pre-Survey
Take the Pre-Event Survey
I’ll take a short pre-survey to share what motivated me to join — and earn 15 points! (If I already took the survey by email, I’ll just mark this action complete to get my points.)
Water
Learn to Recycle Water at Home
Greywater—or lightly used household water—can sometimes be reused for tasks like watering plants or cleaning. I will learn about safe and practical ways to recycle greywater at home, school, or work.
Soil and Food
Learn How to Save Pollinators
Bees and other pollinators are vital to ecosystems and agriculture. I will spend 5 minutes learning how to support local pollinators and take at least one action—such as planting native flowers or avoiding pesticides—to help sustain resilient ecosystems and harvests.
Soil and Food
Enjoy a Meatless Meal
Producing 1 kg of beef emits as much greenhouse gas as driving 150 miles, meanwhile, 1 kg of veggies or grains leaves a much lighter footprint! This week, I’ll shrink my climate impact by having 1 meatless meals meals each day.
Soil and Food
Grow Something to Eat
Growing food builds resilience by connecting us to the soil and reducing reliance on long supply chains. I will grow edible plants—such as herbs, vegetables, or grains—in my home, balcony, or community space, strengthening both my food security and local biodiversity.

Lisa Mackey 4/13/2026 4:53 AMI have bought multiple cookbooks to start a vegetarian diet. However, my mind tells me eew mushrooms. lol I need to find a way to get past that. Also, chicken is difficult to give up. :/ This is something I definitely need to spend more time with in regard to what will work well for me. Luckily, my daughter is also an aspiring vegetarian and loves to cook. -

For morning coffee, we chose new glass stir sticks to replace the disposable sticks. We had a good time chatting and realizing how such a little change can make a huge difference. -

I joined because I thought it could be something fun for my coworkers and I to do together, as well as learning good ways to make the world a healthier, cleaner place for us all. -
