Land + Forests

Plant Trees

Trees capture carbon and produce oxygen that is essential to life on earth. I will support this important piece of nature by organizing or joining a community group to plant 11 native trees in my community, public parks, office location, campus or backyard.

Explore My Area

When we explore natural spaces around us, our connections with them change. I will spend 500 minutes exploring a new area around my neighborhood, office, or campus (e.g., park, water body, nearby trail, community garden, green space, etc.).

Raise Awareness for the Conservation of Freshwater and Oceans

I will spend 60 minutes learning more about the importance of freshwater + ocean conservation, and how I can reduce my water use. I will share what I learn with people in person, on social media, and on the feed.

Participated in a city beach clean-up over the weekend. Surprised to discover we had a beach in the city! Hoping for ongoing efforts from volunteers and the government to store this beauty.

Our prize after the clean-up: clean air under the mangrove trees. In awe of being inside a mangrove forest. :)

Late post | On April 2nd, I started the Eco challenge with a 30-minute walk outside. The fresh air and exercise left me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. It's incredible how a simple walk in nature can boost physical and mental well-being.
