Understand My Water Footprint

Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.

COMPLETED

Put the bucket under a downspout and see how quickly it fills.

We had to travel out of town this weekend for my son's basketball tournament, the hotel had recycling receptacles in the hotel room, which I thought was great. We also noticed all the solar panels in the fields outside of Bloomington, along 74. We are working on conserving energy at my house, unplugging things that aren't in use.

I was off to a slow start, but with warmer days ahead, I am able to get outside and get to work. Cleaning up my community, and picking up trash, which I have my 11-year-old son helping me. I am also on a team with my job, Carle BroMenn Medical Center. It is great to have so many people making the world a better and cleaner place!
