Tony Dane's actions
Health and Well-Being
Enjoy the Outdoors for 30 Minutes
Studies have shown that when we spend consistent time in nature, our health improves, our creativity increases, and our connection to the planet gets stronger. Each day of the Ecochallenge, I will spend 30 minutes outside, then share my observations, reflections, and learnings on the feed.
Health and Well-Being
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 15 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Health and Well-Being
Meditate
Meditation helps build resilience and clarity. I will spend 5 minutes each day to meditate or create a moment of silence each day to reflect on things important to me.
Health and Well-Being
Declutter and Donate
Decluttering can reduce stress and benefit others. I will declutter my home and donate items I no longer need to support others in my community.
Wildlife
Learn to Grow Plants Your Way
Growing plants can be rewarding and can create habitats big and small for wildlife. And, we can grow things almost anywhere! I will spend 60 minutes researching options for growing plants either inside or outside.
Health and Well-Being
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 5 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Tony Dane Lavender 4/09/2025 6:54 AMSo, my mental health has been completely in the trash. If the weather had been more agreeable, then I may have spent more time outside… which would have probably been a little bit helpful to my mental health. -
Tony Dane Lavender 4/04/2025 1:07 PMI definitely spend a total of a half hour outside taking dogs for walks. It would be a little nicer if I had a wooded area to walk them. Also, I cannot walk them together because Buddy doesn’t care for other dogs.-

Tony Dane Lavender 4/03/2025 8:36 AMSleep was not good last night either. The Baja Blast Mountain Dew at 3pm probably didn’t help anything. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What changes did you make to improve your sleep, and how did they affect your day?
Tony Dane Lavender 4/02/2025 7:09 AMI did not get good sleep last night. I don’t even know when I fell asleep. I was dreaming a lot. It has left me in a worse mental state.
