Sharing builds common understanding. I will share 2 definitions of resilience that resonate with me—through conversations, social media, or the event feed—to help others explore what resilience means.

LEARN ABOUT DONALDSON EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Being prepared can save lives during emergency situations. I will tour my Donaldson facility to identify where the AED/Emergency Kits are located.
What is resilience?
Learn About Ecological Resilience
Resilience is part of how nature works. I will spend 1 minutes learning about ecological resilience—how ecosystems adapt to disturbances and renew themselves through cycles of growth and renewal.
What is resilience?
Reflect on My Own Resilience
Resilience is personal and collective. I will reflect on a time when I adapted to change in my own life, writing down what helped me and what I learned from the experience.
What is resilience?
Learn About Community Resilience
Communities can adapt to challenges and grow stronger together. I will spend 1 minutes learning about how communities prepare for and respond to change, and how collective action builds resilience.
What is resilience?
Learn About Ordinary Magic
Resilience is an everyday magic in all of us. I will spend 1 minutes learning about resilience and psychologist Ann Masten’s concept of “ordinary magic,” which shows how people adapt and thrive through small, daily strengths.
What is resilience?
Learn About Biodiversity and Resilience
Diversity builds strength in ecosystems. I will spend 1 minutes learning how biodiversity helps nature adapt to change and maintain balance.
Action Track
Host a Cleanup Event with Colleagues
Shared projects at work strengthen teams and build organizational resilience. I will host or join 1 cleanup events with colleagues, classmates, or group members to improve our environment and strengthen collaboration.
Action Track
Take Part in a Community Beautification Project
Working together builds resilience and pride in the places we care about. I will participate in 1 community projects such as a cleanup or local beautification project that strengthens connections and shared purpose.
Water
Create My Own Water Action
Everyone’s water needs and use are different. I will create an action that works for my life and supports water resilience—and make my commitment public by sharing it in the feed to inspire others.
Biodiversity and Wildlife
Donate to Support Wildlife
There are many amazing projects supporting wildlife and their habitats. I will choose a project or organization to support that helps species and habitats I care about and make a donation.
Biodiversity and Wildlife
Speak Up for Wildlife Protection
Wildlife needs support from people. I will take 1 actions, such as volunteering, signing petitions, contacting leaders, or sharing information on social media, to help protect habitats and species.
Biodiversity and Wildlife
Choose Native Plants
Native plants provide food and shelter for local wildlife and help ecosystems adapt to change. I will choose native plants for my yard, balcony, or community space instead of non-native or ornamental species to support biodiversity resilience.
Work and Organizations
Join or Start a Green Team
Green teams strengthen resilience by creating shared responsibility. I will join or help start a green team in my workplace, school, or community group to support sustainability and collaboration.
Work and Organizations
Map Local Risks and Resources
Preparedness is part of resilience. I will spend 26 minutes with colleagues identifying potential risks (such as weather, supply chain, or staffing issues) and the resources or strategies available to address them.
Biodiversity and Wildlife
Leave the Leaves
Fallen leaves, logs, and brush provide shelter and food for wildlife. I will leave natural features in my yard or community space to help strengthen biodiversity and soil resilience.
Soil and Food
Grow Something to Eat
Growing food builds resilience by connecting us to the soil and reducing reliance on long supply chains. I will grow edible plants—such as herbs, vegetables, or grains—in my home, balcony, or community space, strengthening both my food security and local biodiversity.
Action Track
Participate in a Habitat Restoration Project
Healthy habitats support resilient wildlife populations. I will join 1 restoration efforts, such as planting native plants, cleaning a natural area, or repairing trails to protect biodiversity.
Water
Collect Rain Water
Rainwater collection reduces water waste and supports local needs. I will install a rain barrel or collect rainwater to use for outdoor tasks, such as watering plants or cleaning.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWork and OrganizationsTake a few minutes to reflect on the video using the reflection form posted in the sharepoint link.
Ankur Kumar 4/29/2026 10:03 PMIt sounds like the next step is simply to pause, think about the video, and fill out the reflection form linked on SharePoint. Taking a few minutes to reflect helps you connect the ideas in the video to your own experiences and the work your team is doing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWork and OrganizationsHow does being part of a green team strengthen collaboration? What role can green teams play in building organizational resilience?
Ankur Kumar 4/29/2026 10:02 PMBeing part of a green team strengthens collaboration because everyone is working toward a shared purpose that feels meaningful. When people plan activities together, solve environmental challenges, and support each other’s ideas, it naturally builds trust and teamwork. It creates a space where everyone’s strengths matter.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWork and OrganizationsWhat risks or resources did you identify? How might this knowledge help your group respond better in times of change?
Ankur Kumar 4/29/2026 10:02 PMI identified a few risks, like limited water, loss of habitat, and extreme heat, as well as resources, such as strong teamwork, local knowledge, and access to native plants. Knowing these helps the group respond better because it shows what challenges we need to prepare for and what strengths we can rely on. When everyone understands both the risks and the resources, the group can adapt more quickly and stay resilient during change.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterWhat personal action did you create, and why does it matter to you?
Ankur Kumar 4/29/2026 9:32 PMI created a simple daily action to reduce waste, like bringing my own bag and bottle everywhere I go. It matters to me because it’s small, consistent, and something I can control. Even one habit like this makes me feel more responsible for my impact and more connected to the idea of living sustainably.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterHow did collecting rainwater make you feel about the cycles of nature and resource use? What did you use the water for?
Ankur Kumar 4/29/2026 9:28 PMCollecting rainwater made me feel more aware of how nature constantly recycles and renews itself. It’s a simple act, but it shows how valuable every drop is and how much we depend on natural cycles we usually don’t notice. It also made me more mindful about using resources wisely instead of taking them for granted.I used the water for watering plants, which felt like closing the loop—letting nature support itself with what it already provides.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONSoil and FoodWhat did you decide to grow, and how did it feel to start (or care for) your plants? What connections did it give you to soil or food resilience?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONBiodiversity and WildlifeWhat project or organization did you choose to support, and why did it resonate with you? What are some ways you can continue to support wildlife conservation beyond financial contributions?
Ankur Kumar 4/29/2026 9:26 PMI chose to support a local wildlife conservation project because it focuses on protecting species and habitats that are part of my own community. It resonated with me since the work feels personal—when you help restore or protect the places you live near, you can actually see the impact over time. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBiodiversity and WildlifeWhy is raising your voice important for resilience, and how can public support strengthen protections for wildlife?
Ankur Kumar 4/29/2026 9:26 PMRaising your voice matters because it turns concern into action. When people speak up—whether it’s through community events, social media, or simply talking with others—they make environmental issues visible instead of silent. That visibility is what resilience is built on: it shows that a community cares enough to protect what it values. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBiodiversity and WildlifeWhat native plants did you choose, and how do they support wildlife in your area? Share a photo in the feed!
Ankur Kumar 4/29/2026 9:25 PMI chose a few native desert plants because they’re hardy, support local wildlife, and help restore natural ecosystems. Here are the ones I picked and how they help the environment.
