I currently really want to visit my local park, as I hadn't been there in a couple of months due to school.
Luckily, I haven't noticed any changes that negatively affect the environment in my neighborhood!

"I joined the Eco Challenge because I feel that every human is required to take part in keeping our earth clean and livable. Joining this challenge helps me gain and deeper understanding and compassion for the ground I stand on, the wildlife I see, and the benefits of mother nature. It helps me build a connection with the world around me, keeping me aware of the actions I do on a day to day basis. I believe that through this challenge, all of us will be able to aim for a brighter, sustainable future! 🌎"
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 120 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Leave No Trace means enjoying nature responsibly by minimizing our impact and leaving the environment as we found it, or better. I will spend 20 minutes learning about the seven core principles to minimize my impact while enjoying the outdoors.
I will spend 5 minutes reading the Ecochallenge feed each day and giving high fives or commenting on posts by people who I don't know, but whose content inspires or interests me.
The goal is to share how we connect with nature and our environment by posting pictures of our favorite spot. This will allow team member to learn about NC's parks and Natural resources
I chose this goal because I think that teens struggle immensely with substances and drugs, causing them to relapse, become depressed, and worsen their own well being. Through my innovations and prototype, I could make a positive impact on this crisis. Not only is it important to address the effects of substance abuse, but it is also one of the WHO's SDG 3 goals. I will also attempt to post my process on my feed.
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 30 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Decluttering can reduce stress and benefit others. I will declutter my home and donate items I no longer need to support others in my community.
Every choice matters. I will purchase or switch to products made from sustainable or recycled materials to support innovation and reduce environmental impact.
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
