What surprised me most about my water footprint is how much water is used in everyday activities that don’t seem directly related to consumption, it made me realize that my personal water use isn’t just about the water I drink or use in the shower but extends to the entire lifecycle of products I consume.
To reduce my water consumption, cutting down on single-use plastic products, using water-efficient appliances, and practicing mindful water use during daily activities. For example, taking shorter showers, and fixing any leaks would reduce waste. These changes would likely require a bit of adjustment in terms of routines, but the positive environmental impact would be worth it, helping to conserve a precious resource for the future

Lefteris Arapakis is a young leader co-founded Enaleia. Enaleia has created the first fishing school in Greece and 2 wide-scale plastic clean-ups, the Mediterranean Cleanup & Bahari Safi. What inspired me most about him is his commitment to addressing environmental challenges and empowering others to take action. Through his initiatives, particularly his focus on reducing plastic waste and creating sustainable solutions, he has shown a remarkable ability to inspire change on both a local and global scale. His drive to make a tangible difference in the world, despite the odds, is truly inspiring.
