Community and Connection
Join your local Green Team or participate in an Earth Month activity organized by them
Get involved! Join your local Green Team to connect and work on local sustainability initiatives. Or, participate in one of the many Earth Month activities they've organized.
Land, Water, and Air
Begin a meeting with a “Sustainability Moment”
Kick off your meetings with a "Sustainability Moment" to keep environmental awareness top of mind. Even better, develop new "Sustainability Moments" tailored to your specific location and work, making the connection between sustainability and your daily activities even stronger!
Land, Water, and Air
Learn about our new Sustainability Pathways initiative
Learn about our new Sustainability Pathways initiative and implement 1 action under each of the pillars from the most appropriate persona.
Sustainable Innovation
Take the Green Pill Trainings on Emerson Learn
Learn about sustainability by taking two Green Pill modules on Emerson Learn. Choose the topics that appeal to you most!
Community and Connection
Explore My Area
Discovering what’s nearby fosters a deeper connection to my community. I will explore 2 new places in my area, such as parks, historical sites, or local businesses.
Community and Connection
Keep My Community Clean
A clean community benefits everyone. Each day I am outside, I will pick up 2 pieces of litter to keep my community clean.
Health and Well-Being
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 60 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Land, Water, and Air
Save Water When Washing Dishes
Dishwashers can save water — if used wisely. I will only run the dishwasher when it’s full and skip the pre-rinse to reduce water and energy use. If I don't have a dishwasher, I will turn off the tap as often as possible while washing dishes.
Land, Water, and Air
Understand My Water Footprint
Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.
Health and Well-Being
Enjoy the Outdoors for 30 Minutes
Studies have shown that when we spend consistent time in nature, our health improves, our creativity increases, and our connection to the planet gets stronger. Each day of the Ecochallenge, I will spend 30 minutes outside, then share my observations, reflections, and learnings on the feed.
Land, Water, and Air
Learn About Water Justice
Access to clean water is a basic right, yet not everyone has it. I will spend 30 minutes learning about water justice issues and who is affected.
Health and Well-Being
Enjoy Fruits and Veggies
Adding fruits and vegetables to our meals nourishes our body and the planet. I will prepare and enjoy 2 servings of a variety of colorful fruits and veggies.
Empowering the Next Generation
Conduct an Audit with a Young Person
Learning by doing empowers youth. I will conduct an environmental audit — such as a home energy or waste audit — alongside a young person to teach them practical sustainability skills and see what I learn from them as well.
Health and Well-Being
Audit Toxic Products in my Home
Many common products contain harmful chemicals. I will spend 30 minutes researching chemicals found in products I use, and I will make a list of products I'd like to replace with safer options.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

This Earth Month, I joined the Ecochallenge not just as a participant—but as someone deeply rooted in the belief that small actions lead to lasting change.A Sanskrit shloka keeps echoing in my heart:"श्रेयः लभ्यते वा न लभ्यते, भवतः उत्तमं निरन्तरं संवाह्यतु।"
"Whether auspiciousness is attained or not, may the best in you continue to flow, always."It reminds me: even if the results aren’t immediately visible, what matters most is our intention and consistency. 🌱From cutting down plastic and food waste, to choosing greener commutes and engaging my team in conservation goals—we’re flowing forward with purpose. ♻️Because this isn’t just about one challenge. It’s about living a commitment to protect our only home. 🌏Let’s keep the momentum going -

As we move forward in the Earth Month Ecochallenge, this Sanskrit shloka deeply resonates:"श्रेयः लभ्यते वा न लभ्यते, भवतः उत्तमं निरन्तरं संवाह्यतु।"
"Whether auspiciousness is attained or not, may the best in you continue to flow, always."This verse is a reminder that in our efforts—whether we see immediate results or not—what matters most is the constant flow of our best intentions and actions.Through mindful conservation, community action, and sustainable choices, let us each allow the best in us to flow endlessly—for our planet, for each other, and for generations to come.Let your uttamam—your best—continue, nirantaram.-

"Dharmo rakshati rakshitah" – धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः
"Dharma protects those who protect it." – Manusmriti 8.15 (Ancient Indian Text)
As we observe Earth Month, let’s remember that caring for nature is a part of our dharma—our responsibility and righteous duty.By protecting the environment, we’re not just preserving resources—we’re honoring a timeless value rooted in our ancient wisdom.
Let’s reflect this spirit in our actions—however small—because when we protect Mother Earth, she protects us in return. -

Out here, every step counts. Today I paused, looked around, and asked—what can I do better for this planet I roam?Turned off the gear I didn’t need. Carried my own bottle. Walked instead of riding.
Simple stuff. Real impact. This Earth isn’t just a place we live—it’s a partner in our journey.
Let’s tread lighter. Build smarter. Live cleaner. -
