Health and Well-Being
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 30 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Land, Water, and Air
Understand My Water Footprint
Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.
Community and Connection
Explore the Feed and Connect with Others
I will spend 20 minutes reading the Ecochallenge feed each day and giving high fives or commenting on posts by people who I don't know, but whose content inspires or interests me.
Community and Connection
Support Local Businesses
Supporting local businesses helps keep communities vibrant and resilient. I will choose to shop at 5 local businesses or restaurants, with a focus on businesses owned by people of color, local farmers, or community members.
Health and Well-Being
Enjoy Fruits and Veggies
Adding fruits and vegetables to our meals nourishes our body and the planet. I will prepare and enjoy 3 servings of a variety of colorful fruits and veggies.
Community and Connection
Keep My Community Clean
A clean community benefits everyone. Each day I am outside, I will pick up 10 pieces of litter to keep my community clean.
Wildlife
Learn to be a Responsible Tourist
Being a responsible tourist means not disturbing wildlife and choosing eco-friendly tour operators and destinations that prioritize wildlife conservation and respect animal welfare. I will spend 30 minutes researching ways to travel responsibly to ensure my adventures support, rather than harm, wildlife and their habitats.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingHow did exercising each day impact your physical or mental well-being? What activity did you enjoy most, and why?
Suzanne Jaeger 4/02/2025 1:38 PMI always feel better after walking. It clears my head, loosens up the body and makes me want to exercise again tomorrow. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity and ConnectionWho inspired you on the feed, and why? Did you meet anyone new, learn anything exciting, or discover a new perspective?
Suzanne Jaeger 4/02/2025 1:37 PMI was inspired to find out my water footprint by others doing it. Keep it up. If you know, you can reduce. -
Suzanne Jaeger 4/02/2025 1:36 PMI measured my water footprint today. Mine is 1777 household gal/day which to me seems high. But it's lower than the US average of 1802 gal/day. I was surprised by the virtual use of water based on what products we use and how much water it takes to produce those products. It's a journey. Try to do better. -
Suzanne Jaeger 4/02/2025 1:15 PMI joined the Earth Month Challenge as a continuation of the Plastic Free Challenge in February. I am always looking to educate myself and others on how to better take care of this one earth we have NOW!!
