Plastic bags do not always end up in landfills and if they aren't properly disposed of. In nature, they can be mistaken for food by many wild animals and harm wildlife. Before starting to reduce sugar, I didn’t think I was addicted to sugar, but I quickly realized how often I craved it, especially in snacks and drinks. The hardest part was resisting sugary treats during low-energy moments. I overcame it by finding healthier alternatives like fruits and keeping myself hydrated. Now, I feel more in control and less dependent on sugar to get through the day.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land, Water, and Air
How did changing your dishwashing habits make you more mindful of water use? What other small changes can you make to conserve water in your household?

Turning off the tap while scrubbing dishes made me realize how much water I used unnecessarily. That small change helped me become more mindful of everyday water use. I'm currently exploring also the available products in the market as low-flow faucets.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Wildlife
How difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?

At first, the challenge of consistently using reusable bags was harder than I expected. I’d often forget to bring the bags into the store or leave them in the car.
What made it easier over time was keeping a few reusable bags permanently in my car and folding one into my everyday backpack. Once I made it part of my routine, it became second nature. The motivation to reduce plastic waste and be more eco-conscious definitely helped me stay committed.
The real challenge was consistency, but a little planning went a long way.
