Hosting this gathering on a Tuesday evening was a simple yet meaningful way to bring together family, a friend, her children and grandchildren in a warm and casual setting. In the middle of a typical weekday, it felt special to pause for an hour and half to share laughter and conversation. The theme of the evening centered around discovery, I introduced a fresh fruit that non of us had ever tried before. The challenge, however, was finding a fruit that truly none of us had tasted. I spent some time searching and finally came across figs at a local fruit market. That small challenge turned into the heart of the evening. Sharing our first impressions of the figs sparked curiosity and conversation, an it became fun, unifying moment for everyone. It was a reminder that a simple weekday gathering can become meaningful with a little intentionally and a spirit of curiosity.

Exercising each day by walking has had a positive impact on both my physical and mental well being. The simple act of stepping outside, breathing fresh air and moving my body has been a refreshing break from working indoors. It has helped me clear my mind and improve my overall mood. The activity I enjoyed most is walking. As someone who works from home and spends a lot of time indoors, walking allowed me to get outside, enjoy the changing seasons and feel more connected to my surroundings.

I attended a regular Twp Board of Trustees meeting in my community. I enjoyed learning bout the various ways the township is addressing community concerns, like the discussions around police department concerns and the approval of funding for the golf course equipment. It was interesting to hear about the grant approval for the k-9 unit which shows the township's commitment to public safety. Attending the meeting allowed me to see firsthand how community members, local officials and the police department collaborate to address concerns, like infrastructure projects. It deepened by connection to the Township by showing how the decisions made at these meeting impact the daily lives of residents.
