Personal
Enjoy Fruits and Veggies
Eating a wide variety of colorful fruits and vegetables is a simple way to boost our personal health and support a more resilient food system. I will prepare and enjoy 2 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.
Personal
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 30 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Take the Pre-Survey
Take the Pre-Event Survey
I’ll take a short pre-survey to share what motivated me to join — and earn 15 points! (If I already took the survey by email, I’ll just mark this action complete to get my points.)
Personal
Reduce Refined Sugar
Cutting back on refined sugar can improve energy, mood, and overall health. I will limit my intake of sugary snacks and drinks by reducing refined sugar in meals or snacks each day.
Personal
Meditate
Meditation helps build resilience and clarity. I will spend 2 minutes each day to meditate or create a moment of silence each day to reflect on things important to me.
Water
Save Water When Washing Dishes
Dishwashers can save water — if used wisely. I will only run the dishwasher when it’s full and skip the pre-rinse to reduce water and energy use. If I don't have a dishwasher, I will turn off the tap as often as possible while washing dishes.
Community
Host a Gathering
Bringing people together helps strengthen bonds. I will organize and host a gathering, such as a potluck, coffee meet up, or shared meal, for friends, family, colleagues, or neighbors to foster connection and community spirit.

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet? What fruits or vegetables did you try this week, and which was your favorite?
Angelica Herculano (Correct) 4/10/2026 7:26 PMSwitching toward more fruits and vegetables helps my body stay healthier as it provides me with essential nutrients like vitamins, fiber and antioxidants. Reducing red and processed meat can lower my intake of unhealthy fats and cholesterol. As for others, it improves public health, lowering healthcare costs related to diet-related diseases. As for the planet, it helps prevent deforestation and habitat destruction. I hadn’t had papaya in a very long time because of the smell when it was cut but once I put tajin on it, it made it taste so much better. I love broccoli with carrots. -
Angelica Herculano (Correct) 4/08/2026 6:19 PMChecking in for the day. I enjoy making this a part of my daily routine.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalWhat did you notice about your thoughts or emotions during or after meditation? How might mindfulness or calmness support your well-being day to day?
Angelica Herculano (Correct) 4/05/2026 4:37 PMAfter meditating I feel very relaxed and not stressed as much. Being calm day to day is beneficial as it can make a big difference in how you feel and function each day. It reduces stress and anxiety, improves focus and productivity, helps regulate emotions, supports better relationships and boosts overall mood and wellbeing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterHow did changing your dishwashing habits make you more mindful of water use? What other small changes can you make to conserve water in your household?
Angelica Herculano (Correct) 4/04/2026 8:11 PMWhile washing the dishes I don’t let the water run like I used to. Some small changes I can make in my household is making sure my kids don’t let the water run while brushing their teeth and limiting their time on showers. -
Angelica Herculano (Correct) 4/03/2026 6:30 PMEven though we are only on day 3 I am doing good with not drinking any soda. I have only had water.-

That's great! I have also given up sodas for this challenge. I have mostly had only water but did "splurge" on one sweet tea so far.

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalBefore you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now? What was the most challenging part of reducing refined sugar, and how did you overcome it?
Angelica Herculano (Correct) 4/02/2026 6:52 PMI knew I was ‘addicted’ to sugar because I always needed something sweet after having lunch which would be like a piece of chocolate. So now I eat an apple or another type of fruit.-
