Ray's actions
Soil and Food
Learn About Indigenous Food Practices and Food Sovereignty
Indigenous communities around the world steward resilient food systems. I will spend 30 minutes learning about Indigenous food practices and food sovereignty, and reflect on lessons I can honor and apply.
Soil and Food
Learn How to Save Pollinators
Bees and other pollinators are vital to ecosystems and agriculture. I will spend 40 minutes learning how to support local pollinators and take at least one action—such as planting native flowers or avoiding pesticides—to help sustain resilient ecosystems and harvests.
Work and Organizations
Recognize Someone’s Contribution
Recognition strengthens trust and connection. I will recognize 5 people in my organization for their contributions, showing appreciation that helps build resilience and morale.
Biodiversity and Wildlife
Choose Native Plants
Native plants provide food and shelter for local wildlife and help ecosystems adapt to change. I will choose native plants for my yard, balcony, or community space instead of non-native or ornamental species to support biodiversity resilience.
Work and Organizations
Host a Cleanup Event with Colleagues
Shared projects at work strengthen teams and build organizational resilience. I will host or join 2 cleanup events with colleagues, classmates, or group members to improve our environment and strengthen collaboration.
Biodiversity and Wildlife
Reduce Light Pollution
Too much artificial light can confuse and harm animals, especially those active at night. I will reduce sources of outdoor light or switch to wildlife-friendly fixtures to support healthy habitats.
Personal
Meditate
Meditation helps build resilience and clarity. I will spend 10 minutes each day to meditate or create a moment of silence each day to reflect on things important to me.
Take the Pre-Survey
Take the Pre-Event Survey
I’ll take a short pre-survey to share what motivated me to join — and earn 15 points! (If I already took the survey by email, I’ll just mark this action complete to get my points.)
Water
Take Shorter Showers
Conserving water helps protect this precious resource. I will shorten my showers to 5 minutes to save water and reduce energy use - each time saving up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water!

REFLECTION QUESTIONWork and OrganizationsHow did recognizing someone’s effort affect your relationship or team dynamic? How can appreciation strengthen trust and teamwork where you are?
Ray Gladkowski 4/13/2026 6:49 AMAs a firm believer in being a servant leader, recognizing someone's effort strengthens the teams cohesiveness by wanting to do better. Appreciation strengthens trust by knowing that the work people put in is seen, acknowledged, and supported. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterHow did shortening your showers affect your awareness of water conservation? What other water-saving practices can you adopt in your daily routine?
Ray Gladkowski 4/13/2026 6:46 AMNot only did I shorten the showers, but I use cold water to save on the heat it takes. There have been some interesting studies about cold water showers or baths after working out that peaked my interests. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalWhat did you notice about your thoughts or emotions during or after meditation? How might mindfulness or calmness support your well-being day to day?
Ray Gladkowski 4/13/2026 6:45 AMWhatever burdens my thoughts, my soul, or my body I pray fully to give it to God. Praying releases all of that negativity, pain, anger, and sadness. We have a God who loves, protects, and cares for us. It supports my well-being to know this is the truth: Jesus died for me and He loves me. -
