When you clarified about the cancer risk it reminded me one video which i saw yesterday, in that Doctor was explaining that if we drink the fermented rice water in the morning it will prevent the risk of intestine, stomach Cancer etc. So, the message was if we make our eating habits like our ancestors that will keep our body healthy.

When you throw food away, you're also wasting the resources and energy that were used to grow, produce, package, and transport it. And when food rots in a landfill, it produces methane, a powerful greenhouse gas.
