"Reduce - RE-USE - recycle. I put thought into each purchase I make with thinking "What is going to happen to it once I use the product inside?" I get joy out of looking for food items in glass that I can re-use to pack salad dressing or chia pudding for my lunch. I also "re-use" small plastic jars that I save and gift friends homemade essential oil sugar hand/foot scrub. "

Biodiversity and Wildlife
Learn to Be a Responsible Pet Owner
Being a responsible pet owner means minimizing the impact pets have on wildlife by keeping them indoors, never setting them 'free' into nature, and supervising pets when they are outside to prevent them from hunting or disturbing wild animals. This also keeps our pets safe from harm. I will spend 60 minutes learning about ways to ensure my pet’s behavior and care practices protect local wildlife and their ecosystems.
Work and Organizations
Support Local or Minority-Owned Businesses
Purchasing choices can strengthen community resilience. I will direct 1 of my organization’s purchases or events toward local or minority-owned businesses, helping build diverse and resilient economies.
Work and Organizations
Learn About Organizational Resilience
Organizations, like ecosystems, can adapt and thrive. I will spend 10 minutes learning how organizations build resilience through collaboration, flexibility, and innovation, and reflect on what I can apply in my own setting.
